Accepting is Sweeter Than Any Dessert

Today's word is Acceptance. Accepting yourself for who you are and who you not, and accepting others for who they are and who they are not, is possibly one of the highest forms of grace available. When you accept someone, their warts and all, there is nothing but love. There is no judgement, there is no fear, there is only love.

Acceptance of situations doesn't mean you have to like the situation. But when you can accept it for what it is, then you can create something different. Nothing can be created until you see things for where and what they are without judgement.

I don't like the fact that I have had cancer, but I have accepted it which has allowed me to move on. The more I don't accept things, the further I get of my path. Acceptance doesn't mean that you are a victim and should throw the towel in. It gives you the opportunity to just be.

Acceptance also doesn't mean you are weak. Quite the contrary. It actually makes you a stronger person because when you accept things the way they are, there is nothing but what is possible.

Think about all the times you have wished for people to understand you or accept you the way you are. When someone does, you feel great about yourself. You do not have to try to be someone or something that you are not.

When you accept other people, the same thing happens. The more that that is happening, the faster we will achieve higher consciousness and world peace.

Challenge: Look at your warts, and accept them one by one. Make a list of the things about others, situations etc and see what you can accept. Remember, 1) you don't have to like it. 2) when you can accept it, you can move beyond it.

Nothing is the truth except what you tell yourself.
